Return policy
Dear customers, Increasing statutory requirements make specific regulations regarding the handling of return deliveries necessary. The below policy applies to the return of goods to all companies of the Big Dutchman group from 1 March 2020.
Generally:
- We only accept complete, undamaged and originally packaged BD articles as return deliveries because this is necessary for re-use.
- Material which we cannot credit is not stored but scrapped after no more than two weeks.
- Returned articles must be part of current orders and not be older than six months.
- For any return deliveries that do not meet the above criteria, we reserve the right not to credit them at all or to add a significant charge for the manual checking, handling and repair tasks performed by the supplier.
- Individual components or parts of assembly groups (e.g. motors, drives, etc.) are not credited, not even on a pro-rata basis, but scrapped.
- Goods that are returned to check for warranty claims (especially pumps, medicators, compressors, etc.) must be fully empty, clean on the inside and the outside, and not contain contaminants or deposits.
- Eligibility for a warranty claim requires compliance with the provisions in operation and assembly manuals as well as on maintenance boards (e.g. inspection intervals, oil change intervals, etc.).
- Goods from regions with active epidemic warnings must not be returned and will not be credited.
- Goods can be returned from Monday to Friday, between 8 a.m. and 4.15 p.m.
- Please notify us in advance of larger return deliveries (e.g. a full trailer) so we can guarantee fast unloading.
- For complicated return deliveries, we reserve the right to charge a handling fee of up to 10 %. This fee is deducted from the credit note subsequently.
